Hi JKL456!
That's great.
Have you had a look at The Sedona Method book to learn about releasing and how it works?

I like to breath in to a count of four through the mouth and exhale to a count of 8 through the mouth. that up to 8 times and also a practice of doing that once a day for 10 minutes continuously.
If I'm alone with privacy I like to start Om or Aum-ing. Or you can just hum as it's been shown to help anxiety. It's also great for the strengthening the voice. Ommmmmm.
Also, facing that fear as it's from holding in mind what you don't want. Just checking if whatever it is is happening right now helps. There's a section on releasing fear in the Sedona Method book that's really simple and really helps to break the habit.

Hi niamul21!
Are you familiar with releasing, AKA The Sedona Method and the ways it helps us to process feelings like anxiety?
Here is a link for the book. Have a look at it and see if any of the things it offers have any value for you.
Best,
Delilah

I deal with various anxious situations differently, but one of the ways I deal with certain situations is to transmute my anxiety into excitement. So instead of "dreading" what's coming, be excited for the opportunity that has been presented. It may be an opportunity to learn, refine a skill, build strength of character, etc. Not really in the Sedona Method playbook but nevertheless something useful in our bag of tricks in dealing with anxiety and life in general.

Hi vk60187!
As a psychotherapist I think that any psychological concept or model that we resonate with is helpful in that it offers us understanding and insight. Understanding and insight are extremely useful, especially if we release on the things we have come to understand about ourselves. It is possible to neutralize the charge that results from any early programming by releasing. And when the charge is neutralized, when we are no longer triggered, old patterns/habits/tendencies fall away.
Warmly,
Delilah

Often it is an accumulation of stress from various situations that results in the body's endocrine system having a flight or fight response. There are still other causes for anxiety that also are not situational. Releasing asks us to let go of wanting to figure things out. It does this because tracking the linear mind or the logical mind is not always helpful. In fact, we find through releasing that letting go of the thoughts and feelings expedites getting relief from any of our suffering. Interestingly, when we let go of wanting to figure things out, we get all sorts of answers, information, understanding, insight and revelation.
We do not claim to diagnose, treat of cure any psychological or medical condition. We recommend that folks consult the appropriate professional. We can still have great success in releasing while working with such a professional. That is why we do not recommend any kind of medical or alternative supplements here. Most likely you need to find the cause of your anxiety. If you have problems with self-esteem, if you are afraid of responsibility, then you will feel anxiety.Last edited by DelilahCertifiedSMCoach; 03-29-2020, 07:19 AM.

Hi KatKat!
I recommend that you have a look at any of The Sedona Method videos on YouTube. Get comfortable in a chair or a on the sofa or your bed and listen the process that is presented. As you do that you'll start to get the idea of how the process can help lower and eventually extinguish anxiety. At the beginning it can be helpful to listen with your eyes closed. It's less distracting. And as you listen you might find yourself getting a bit more uncomfortable at first. That's just the energy coming up to be released. If you keep at it, you'll start to notice that it feels better and better.
Warmly,
Delilah
