  • Tinnitus and impaired hearing

    Hi everyone,

I am a new member from the Netherlands and just followed a course given by Maarten Klatte. My issue/problem is that my hearing is getting worse and I also have tinnitus.
I don't want a hearing aid and I am trying a lot to make an epigenetic influence. I am also trying EFT, supplements, The listening program. Can anybody give me tips?

    Thanks,

    John

hi John- welcome to the community.
Have you created a goal with regard to your hearing?
    How have you worded it?

Thank you for your reply, zannierose. My goal is to reduce my tinnitus and improve my hearing. Strangely some days my hearing is much better than on other days. I am new with the sedona method and in the beginners course I followed they didn't cover goalsetting. I just bought Hale's book and started reading. So far I did release on my resistance.

        Hi Woudej!

So nice to have you join us.

You'll find that there is a whole section about Goal Statements in that book by Hale. It's very easy to work with a goal statement. Have a look and see if you have any questions about it.

We often like to say that The Sedona Method doesn't claim to diagnose treat or cure any medical or psychological condition and we encourage folks to consult the appropriate professional.

One of the things you can do if you're comfortable releasing on resistance is to release on resistance to getting a hearing aid. The point isn't to convince yourself to get a hearing aid but to be imperturbable about hearing aids.

Whenever there is an apparent problem it is very useful to explore the problem by releasing on having and not having the problem. The advantages and disadvantages process is very helpful with this. And so is the attachment and aversion process to having a hearing aid.

I am NOT a medical doctor so I am suggesting this with no medical knowledge. Consult a couple of different doctors about this because no doctor has all the answers about everything. There are different causes for tinnitus and some doctor that you haven't met yet might be able to address this with you.

        Best,
        Delilah

          Hello Delilah,

Thanks Delilah for the tips. Maybe the first thing is just to make time for releasing. I must admit that I do have this critical voice in me, that says "Come on, releasing get be that simple. You are wasting your time." When I had the course it was easier, maybe because the group energy. Reading the book and applying it is harder.

          Have a nice weekend!

          John
