  • So terrified of sensations and pain!

Hmm....I think this fear roots from the time I was bullied in school.
How do I release this fear of feeling pain. Like I'm afraid of being overwhelmed by pain. And I have this REALLY strong belief that I cannot allow pain because it hurts so much. I'm also terrified (although subconcious...it bothers me often enough) of being knifed or something like when I go to school and am always wanting approval from people because of this. I'm always thinking of the most terrible thing that can happen to me...so its so hard to let go.
I also have headaches like ALL the time...and i just dunno how to be free of it.
When I try to release pain...I remember Hale saying that you cannot always dissolve pain but u can reach a stat were u arent disturbed by it...like how do u not be disturbed by headaches and other physical pain.
    Thanks guys for the help.

Could you honor your sensations Ritam? your sensations and images are pointing to your freedom. could you meet these sensations inside as fully as you can? Check to see if you are wanting to control your experience......if so could you let go of wanting to control your experience......could you you open to the possibility that all is well, even if your sensations and images suggest otherwise.....could you simply be open to this possibility?

If you have the Sedona Method Audio or book, suggest you do the 'clean up procedure' and focus on your body.

Let me know how you get on.

    warmly

      Hi Ritam,

when it feels overwhelming or you don't want to face something, you can kind of release your way around it.

You can start by working on the fear to face the issue.
Could you hold on to that fear as much as you do? Do you want to hold on in order to gain control, approval, security, seperation or oneness?
Could you let that want go?
      How does it feel now?

Is there any sense of being controlled by your emotions? Could you let go of wanting to be controlled by them?

Also keep in mind you're not alone. You can work with a releasing partner or a coach.

Did you get enough input by now?

        Hi Ritam,

first: have you already checked about this with your doctor if there is a physical element about this?

In addition with Fiona's suggestions, with bodily sensations, holistic releasing can be helpful too.

With holistic releasing you switch your focus back and forth between 2 polarities.

One polarity is the pain (in this case your head).

For the opposite polarity you can choose 2 approaches.
        1) you choose another part of your body to focus on, a part that is painless at that moment
        2) you choose the awareness, which allows for all sensations and feelings to be, to be the opposite polarity.

        Explore what helps you most.

You can apply the holistic releasing also to other feelings or pain.

Please keep us posted on how you are doing!

        the best,
        Clarie

About the headaches....they feel like they come from the tenseness in my shoulder and neck area and moves up to my head as a headache

            Hi Ritam,

with tension the holistic releases I described earlier are useful. Explore both versions, what is most helpful for you.

Also the releases that Jan and Fiona suggested are a great way to let go of emotions and/or sensations.

Please keep us posted on how you are doing,

            Clarie

Hey...just to post up how I'm doing.
I finally see how feelings no matter how "important" I've seen them to be or how true, all they are..are just sensations I feel that I've given tremendous meaning to. Like I've finally experienced what welcoming really is. And a touch of seeing through to the fact that All is actually Well. Normally I've just been scratching on the surface and not going in and seeing what feelings really are. I finally see it .
