  • Inspiring movies

The last 2 years I started to watch inspirational movies, movies that uplift you and give insights. This started with the gorgeous movie As it is in heaven a movie by the swedish director Kay Polak.

As it is in heaven is a rich, moving and deep inspiring movie - I watched it 3 times, cried and laughed, and could not get enough of it.

The movie is about a famous music composer and directo, Daniel, who's life turns around when he gets a serious hart attack. He has to face he'll has to slow down and returns undercover to his birthplace. In short dramatic flashbacks you learn about his life until that point, as he gets involved with the local church choir. There he finds again what he inspired as a young boy: to touch the hearts of people with his music.

As the story of Daniels life enfolds, also the other characters transform in their own way. Besides that, the movie shows how the harmony in the choir grows because all that is happening, with a grand filale of the choir at the end of the movie.

One of the highlights for me is Gabriella's song. Daniel composed this beautiful song specially for her - a song that expresses her will to live her life fully, knowing she was good enough. To me this is what the Sedona Method is about in a nutshell.
Being able to sing this song is her turning point. And how well she sings her song!!

This video gives an impression of the movie, while Gabrielle sings:

This video show Gabriella singing her song, with english subtitles:

I love that movie Clarie. Probably watched it 5 times and I usually never watch a movie even twice. It's like it's something magic with that movie I think.

Another fantastic movie that resonates with the Sedona Method is Peaceful Warrior. It's filled with wisdom and inspiration. I highly recommend it.

"Le Concert" (The Concert (2009) - IMDb) is such an uplifting comedy.

Big Blue is really beautiful (The Big Blue (1988) - IMDb) It's a long and slowly moving, meditative type of movie. The ocean probably represents awareness.
There's some fuss about the European vs. US release and the soundtrack. The IMDb reviews probably explain it better than I could, so I'll leave it to them.

Huh, don't know about you, but I think "The Matrix" is the closest movie to what Hale and Lester talks about our reality. yeah, it's true that it has lots of action, but if you let it go then you will see that there is a deeper meaning in all of this. Just watch this trailer

Not a film, but just goes to show what love does even with ferocious animals

thank you for this simple and touching explaination. I understand now that when I feel guilty for "not keeping my vows" as my former husband put it when I felt I had to leave him behind, I am only listening to a past thought. I do not need to know why I go back to the same thought. I just need to stay in the now. I would like to allow myself to completely release this need to remain guilty. I would like to move on and become a person that is ready to receive love from someone who also feels they deserve my love!
Thank you for putting this post up... it has been most helpful!

Thank you Christian5 that was so helpful to me this morning. I want to play it over and over. I would like to see more of this beautiful teacher. I see the name burtharding..I will google and look for more. It is so inspiring to hear these messages and actually see the person so that I can FEEL their beauty, the peace in their voice etc. There are so many wonderful teachers saying basically the same thing, reinforcing what I am hearing/reading etc. In my daily life I do not interact with people who are so aware. This forum is so wonderful in that it encourages me that there are a lot of people out there that are. I don't feel so alone in my pursuit to become a more aware being.

Recently I saw a lovely short movie about Mr Happy Man in Bermuda - he gets up every morning at 4 o'clock to go to a busy crossing in his home town to wave to people and send love to them, until 10 o'clock. Here is a short clip about this short movie with Mr Happy Man (no actor - he really is a Happy Man):
