What if there was another who had knowledge and experience beyond what has been written for a real solution? Woud we be open to that? With those military that "train themselves", if they are "trained" can they be untrained? If genetics or genes are a cause, that would be upto the genetic scientist to solve. With "what we THINK inside".....there is a quote "To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders." Lao Tzu. Did Lao Tzu know and experience something we did not? Was there a mind that could be still to not think? Did he have that mind so he could write that quote? Did he pass on those teachings? We wont really know unless we experience those teachings, not just be told about them. Maybe thats where the solution is, a solution that also has an inner sense of reality with heightened awareness for peace and all the other higher emotions !!??
    Hi Kate,

One of the most fantastic things about TSM is that it is a very simple and extremely effective and efficient way to experience the mind the way Lao Tzu did.

To me, even the most apparently extreme individual eg what we call terrorist, murderer or whatever label we use for transgressors has common ground with me
They are all seeking happiness. That's the bottom line in my opinion.
It's not to say this pursuit doesn't get distorted and causes more suffering for self and others, but I like to start with that.
I know that I sometimes transgress with thought, word and deed. I have told lies, stolen small things, been hurtful to others etc In that respect I am no different. Thankfully, I have not found myself drawn to act out extreme behaviours, I'm but sure the energy comes from the same place. I think those that act out extreme behaviour of that nature, and preach hate etc can still teach us something about ourselves ... as human beings

We do have so much in common!

We breathe, we eat, we like to laugh, we want to be happy... think about how little children simply play together, no matter what race or religion!

    Love to everyone,

Nice posts everyone! When wanting to find common ground is the only thing two people can find in common. It is still a success. They could live in peace with each other. How many people could there be who do not what to find at least that? There is every reason to be optimistic for world peace.

    Hi Kate,

When "the universe surrenders", the question is, is it really the universe surrendering, or only our own perception? Like a noisy radio station "surrendering" and getting quiet when we turn the dial away from that frequency? We have moved our reception away, but is it still there, as we think it should be? Maybe it is. But it is equally possible that it isn't. Todays quantum physics suggests that it is the observer who makes all the difference and when the observer is not watching the particles to take form, their place could be filled with waves of infinite possibilities.

It’s nice to remember that we can’t have a feeling without a story creating it, no story, no feeling. Our stories are wonderful allowing us to feel so many different feelings and add so much variety to this game we call life.

Most of the time we take these stories so seriously, that we think they are real and get ourselves trapped in them. If we could remember when we were children, we knew we were just making up the stories and they weren’t real. Our stories served the purpose for the moment and once we were done with that moment, we let that story go and created a new one.

Remember playing as children, I’m the good guy and you’re the villain this time and we would play and have so much fun and then change rolls the next time around. We were so serious while playing but when it was done, we remembered we were just playing.

I know that what we have been feeling, feels so real, but remember, they are just stories, no more real than any other story we could create about a particular event. Let's try to see the event from a different view point and this will help us create a new story of the event. As we’ve heard before, put ourself in the other persons shoes, that will give us some insights on creating a new story.

    The easiest way to achieve happiness is to realize;
We are not who you think you are, We only experience life through who we think we are.

The answers to Who Am I?, Why Am I Here? Are just beliefs and thoughts. Rather than let automatic programming determine the answers to those questions, deliberately chose the beliefs to answer those questions. Remember the answers to those questions will change. The only ultimate truth, is that there is no ultimate truth, just Beliefs & Stories (B.S. for short).
You can create a belief in the present moment that will be your truth, until you decide to create a new truth.

Don’t hold onto old beliefs just because you think it is a truth, it’s just a belief.

    Let's write a new story.

I just couldn't help to think about what would be the common ground with those who train themselves in terrorist camps or military special forces. They would probably like to blow up both sides who get along so "shamelessly" good as in this video. Of course we can find a lot of common ground between nations, but with certain individuals, could it be possible?
But then, the main question is not the common ground outside, but rather what we think on the inside. And if everything is harmonious and loving there, those individuals are like some mythological beings who just couldn't exist at all in our world.

Common ground is our feelings.....as the girls say in the vids, even though we may have different religion, race, gender, age, language, for example...we experience those same feelings and needs, no matter where we are in the world. We have the perfect resource that can reveal more of those higher feelings now....... :-)

Hmmmm very nice vids, thank you! and just a little 'letting go' of those deep rooted emotions and why they're there is always benefical and joyous, along with the fantastic creativity we come up with, together, and its quick, gentle and usually fun too. Thanks again ....everyone!!
