  • Introduce Yourself to the Community , Who you are, What you do, How you found us?

    Howdy All,

I realized there was not a section in the community where you can introduce yourself so I have now made one.... here it is....

In this thread you can introduce yourself, who you are where you are from, what you do, what you want to do anything like that, and anything else you want to say.

Also tell us how you found the Sedona Method Community, how you are going with the method, if you have watched Letting Go, how it has or has not impacted your life, what you are doing as a result....

So let me go first ....

My name is Benjamin Bressington and I am the marketing manager for Sedona Training Associates, I was the person who made this community happen and working on the continued growth of this community, Lettinggo.tv, The Sedona Method (official site) Self Help Program by Hale Dwoskin and all of our social media properties. My company also handles all the customer support for Hale as well, so it is my role to make sure you are happy and making the most of this experience. (Any recommendations let me know, We are always, Always improving)

I only got introduced to the Sedona Method in June when I got started on this project with Hale and my first experience was Letting Go when I watched the movie. I have been working with people in the personal development field for the last 6 years and it has been fantastic. As a result I must now Let Go 5-10 times a day and it really does work. Things in my life are just happening and I no longer worry as bad as I used to. I used to work 7 days a week and not be satisfied. As a result I am more satisfied with what I do and the the life that I have. I really love my life now every day and I am grateful for what is happening and what my Fiance' and I are working towards.

I have the privileged of working with my Fiance' every day as we merged our 2 companies and it has really never been better for both of us. of course there are the good days and the challenges but we both can look at each other and say ok that's it let get over it and move on and we do... We have the lucky lifestyle that we get to work from any where in the world and I recently moved from Australia to live with her in Calgary, Alberta Canada. How I met her is another story for another time.... (I have keep getting told that my version and her version are totally different)

So I am here to make ensure that this community is the number 1 website on the internet for personal development and transforming your life. The community is now rapidly growing and expanding and we are working hard to ensure this is a fun community website that engages you.

Talk to me online or on the chat since that is why we have it....

Have a great day....and I look forward to getting to know you more. ... now it is your turn to share....

    The Hale Dwoskin Story

HALE DWOSKIN is the author of the New York Times Best Seller, The Sedona Method: Your Key to Lasting Happiness, Success, Peace and Emotional Well-being. Hale is one of the 24 teachers from the movie The Secret and a founding member of the Transformational Leadership Council. He is the CEO and Director of Training of Sedona Training Associates, an organization headquartered in Sedona, Arizona. He co-founded the company in 1996 to teach courses based on the emotional releasing techniques originated by his mentor, Lester Levenson. Hale Dwoskin is an international speaker and featured faculty member at Esalen and the Omega Institute. For over a quarter century, he has regularly been teaching The Sedona Method to individuals and corporations throughout the United States and the United Kingdom, and leading facilitator trainings and advanced retreats since the early 1990s. He is also the co-author with Lester Levenson of Happiness Is Free: And Its Easier than You Think (a five-book series).

In 1976, I met Lester Levenson, the man who inspired the creation of The Sedona Method who would also become my mentor. Back then, I was an ardent, although confused, seeker who had gone to numerous seminars led by teachers from both the East and the West. I had studied various body-centered disciplines, including yoga, tai chi, and shiatsu. I had actively participated in numerous personal growth courses, including EST, Actualism, Theta Seminars, and Rebirthing. At these seminars, I had many nice experiences and heard and understood—at least intellectually—many useful concepts. Still, I felt incomplete. I longed for a simple and powerful answer to some important yet vexing questions like: “What is my life’s purpose?” “What is truth?” “Who am I?” and “How can I feel at home and at peace with my life?” Much of what I heard and experienced only added to my questioning. No one seemed to have truly satisfying answers or to have truly satisfied themselves about their true nature. There was also a strong, almost universal belief that growing was hard work that required baring your soul and reliving painful, unresolved issues. That all changed during my very fortunate encounter with this remarkable man. I met Lester at a seminar led by a well-known speaker that Lester was attending as the leader’s guest. That day, a group of us went out to lunch together. Lester’s presence immediately struck me as unique. He was in total peace and equal-mindedness, very comfortable with himself. He was unassuming and easy to talk to and treated everyone as his friend—even me, a complete stranger. It was obvious that he’d ended his search by discovering the answers I’d been seeking. I knew I had to find out more.

When I asked Lester what he did, he invited me to a seminar that was being held the next weekend. All he would tell me was that “a group of people is going to sit around a table and release.” I wasn’t sure what releasing meant, but I knew if it could even point me in the direction of the qualities of which Lester was the living embodiment, I definitely wanted it. I took a leap of faith and signed up on the spot.

That weekend I was in essentially the same position you’re in right now. I was about to embark on a journey for which I felt a little bit of trepidation. I wasn’t sure exactly with what I was getting involved, and, since I had done so many seminars, I also had a healthy degree of skepticism. I found myself wondering, “Oh my God, is this going to be another one of those disappointments along the way?” As the course unfolded, however, I watched myself and other people in the class shedding long-held beliefs and limitations with amazing ease and speed, yet without having to relive or explain their life stories.

Almost overnight, I knew that I’d found what I was looking for. In fact, deep inside, I knew that this process of releasing was what I had been born to do and share with the world—and to this day I have never wavered. In the past 26 years, I’ve watched thousands of other people change their lives, radically yet gently, for the better just by learning one elegantly simple, yet powerful technique.

      Hello from ClydeSight Productions.

I have viewed the Letting Go movie twice online. Worked just fine in both viewing options provided. I think the movie is very well produced and, well, I really like the music!

I wish you the best in your teaching efforts.

Hi. Mike Brown. UK releaser too for about 12 years or so. Work in theatre as a technician. Like many, I have used and sometimes still use other tools to increase my personal freedom (yes ... I know it's not personal ... or mine). I have found that The Method is the easiest to apply as and when it's needed and because of that, have used it more consistently in my daily life.

To All, especially my fellow Brits!

While online here waiting for a Skype session with a new releaser from Lancaster I came across all your posts. Mike and I have already "met" and it's so nice to see other UKEs here, as Zannierose says.

I too am English. My grandmother on my mother's side was Greek so I'm also one quarter Greek! I was brought up in Essex in a very loving family. We moved to London where I later lived in Holland Park while attending the Central School of Art & Design. It was my career as a Textile Designer that brought me to New York where I met Lester in 1976.

Shy yet fiercely independent, that meeting changed my life. I was searching for "freedom" without even knowing exactly what that was. As I thought then, if I could only be doing what I love, with someone I love in a place that I love......then I'll be happy! Well guess what, I was looking for my happiness in all the wrong places! Lester turned me around by saying simply, "this is exactly what you're looking for", and he was right. He gave me this simple, powerful key to unlock my own ability to let go and be at home with the love that I am. I joined Lester and his partner Virginia in those early days in NY, setting up their head office and training as an Instructor. For 15 years I taught TSM throughout the US, as well as once a year in either London or Oxford, Canada or Scandinavia.

Personally, I have applied releasing in all areas of my life. I have enjoyed a wonderful, successful career as a fine artist for the past 15 years and live in magnificent Sedona with my loving partner and husband Tim McCavitt. Together, Tim and I have more than exceeded our financial aspirations and goals. So, as you see, freedom and success in the world are not mutually exclusive. Having always loved the purity and simplicity of the Sedona Method, I never once felt the desire or need to pursue anything else. I love how it has evolved under Hale's guidance since Lester's passing, just as Lester envisioned it would. Joining and supporting Hale in this community, as well as seeing that the upcoming retreats run smoothly, is a labour of love. Sedona Coaching (Tim's and my company) offers instruction and coaching in the SM worldwide and is aligned with both the original processes as developed by Lester and the new, as beautifully presented by Hale. We particularly enjoy and employ the gentle approach to teaching and coaching TSM!

Next year is shaping up nicely as Tim and I are in the process of bringing both the TSM/Living Letting Go Seminar and the Coach Level One Training to Australia, on both coasts! We're also looking forward to resuming our SM connections in the UK in 2011. We will keep you updated as things unfold in OZ, the UK, as well as here in the US.

Meanwhile, we're happy to lend our support here as much as we can. We continue to offer complimentary sessions to newcomers, as well ongoing private sessions for a reasonable fee. We love what we do and are very generous with our time and experience.

We look forward to talking with you or meeting you in the near future.

                      With love,
                      Annrika

                            I'm Scott. I'm a musician/composer, web developer, etc.

I've struggled for YEARS with horrible, crushing anxiety and chronic fatigue, which I've discovered is rooted very much in a deep fear of running out of money. I've read countless self-help books, anti-anxiety programs, been to doctors, hypnotists, counselors, sleep specialists, etc. Then, my problems only became worse when I accidentally started to think critically about my faith (thinking is caustic to faith). Jesus was everything to me, but my relationship with him evaporated as I was faced with arguments that I could not ignore. I lost my greatest treasure, my reason for living, the thing that let me believe that everything was going to "be ok." This only made things worse, plunging me into terrible depression and loneliness, as I lost a lot of friends (since Jesus was what united us).

"Letting Go" is the most amazing thing I've come across so far. So simple, so elegant, and so effective. This is the first thing that has given me a glimmer of hope for getting my life back. I wish I could say that I instantly let go of all my problems, but to be honest I'm still struggling. Sometimes I get a little tired of trying to "welcome" everything. Some days it works amazingly well, and other days I feel like I'm going to waste my whole day sitting there trying to "welcome" it all. I would be delighted for any tips on that. What do you do when it starts to feel like you're just wasting time?

Eventually, I think the process becomes more automatic. Much of what you may be dealing with is from the subconscious mind, and until that is fully re-programmed with positive attitudes, it will keep feeding back negative ones, which are what you have learned.

Life is enormously complex and there are so many things that can trigger negative feelings. Working to overcome the problems is never a waste of time. It sometimes just feels like it.

One way I release is to think, That was then -- this is now. I live for now -- not then.
