  • The quietens behind the music

    Hi ,
    I wanted to share some experience;
    I came home last night and i did some releasing.
    Then i put some music, and all u could hear, was the quietness behind the sounds.
    the music almost didnt make me feel up or down , i was just enjoy the sounds it brought.

    happy thanksgiving

        Hi Yair -

        Thanks for sharing this. It reminds me of some fun that I had with silence and music a couple of years ago. One of my professions is a musician and teacher, and I also use releasing in that area.

        What I started to notice more and more was the silence behind the music I was listening too. It seemed that each composer or band had a flavor of silence particular to their music.
        When I listened just a little more deeply than that, I would find the "real" silence - the silence that makes all other seeming silence and sound possible.

        It was very freeing, and it has been helpful to my students. It can be a way of learning how to let music make itself within space and silence. There are so many ways of getting out of one's own way....
        With Love,

                    The silence is what makes the music or any sound. The "no thing" (unmanifested) around the sound (manifested). You can also do the same thing with realizing the space around objects. The "no thing" we inhabit that separates us yet connects us and other things. This is the visual form of no silence.
